Tring Music Partnership (TMP) was created in June 2021 to get community music back on its feet following the pandemic. Music benefits everyone’s mental health and wellbeing and we want everyone in our community to have the opportunity to take part in music.

We deliver our own events and workshops and work in partnership with schools and existing music groups to support and connect everything musical in Tring.

Just some of what we do

  • Run the music stages at the Tring Christmas Festival, Spring Fayre and Summer Carnival

  • Free musical theatre workshops for young people

  • Jazz and musical theatre instrumental workshops

  • Musical instrument demonstration and have-a-go sessions for primary schools children

  • Connect and support music teachers, school music co-ordinators and community music group leaders

  • Regular early years music sessions at Tring Tots community playgroup

  • Music sessions for older years groups

  • Music events for Ukrainian host and guest families in Tring

  • Support Tringfest (Youth rock bands) and Tring Youth Theatre Shows

  • Provide local music groups for Tring Apple Fayre, Tring Apple Parade and FOTCH day

Every workshop we do is either free or heavily subsidised for participants to make music accessible for everyone. This is possible thanks to donations from individuals and grant support from Tring Town Council, Dacorum Borough Council and Tring Arts Society. We are incredibly grateful to all our supporters who make this work possible.
